how to get rid of a tree stump

i have recently cut some large trees down but the stump and roots need to go any ideas

look in the phone book for stump grinders or stump removal. the person will come and grind the stump down below the ground. they remove the saw dust and debris. you can then plant grass or ask the person if they do that also.
